I live in a society where giving and taking dowry is a PRIDE!! 

 Every parent, birth their girl child and educate them to be atrocious on them? Have we gone back to the ancient age when women were treated as property and could be humiliated in every possible way??? Have we forgotten the name of humanity or is it only keep on our books? Hasn’t a man been able to do a job? Is it necessary to beg for dowry? Or the Mita murder case proved that educated man who can't stand for his own feet are wanting dowry? Has that really they proven???! Many of the questions are coming to my mind when I saw the news of the Mita murder case. I thought I should not write any word, but I could not resist myself to ask these questions to our so called society. Sometimes I feel like that I live in a society where giving and taking dowry is a PRIDE!! Is that true??

 I asked those parents who believe that if they give the dowry to their beggar’s son in law or his family , the girl would get the best future? If they think that I will say that they are wrong. A woman is not a commodity, she is a valuable treasure. She deserves respect for her diverse role. A woman has the ability and determination to break every shackle. She has the right to be free, happy and fulfill her desires. So, it is our duty to put a full stop to every form of abuse, violence and harassment against a woman. It is important that not only men but a woman should also learn to treat other women with dignity. Every woman is God's special creation. And the brutal act of domestic violence has to be stopped and effective action has to be taken against them!!
